I’m still seeing my old website

Below are the 3 most common causes that you may still be seeing your old website after launching:

1. Browser Cache: The old website is likely cached in your web browser and is common with any DNS changes, you will need to do a “hard refresh” of your browser to force it to load the most recent version of a page.

To do this, you will need to:

  1. Navigate to your website address.
  2. Hold “ctrl” on your keyboard and hit F5.

2. Firewall or Anti-Virus software: If you are getting an error or something that says it is unable to connect, an internal firewall might be blocking it.  To test, you can simply try to access your site on a different network, either out of the office, at home, or on your phone (if you are not connected to the same network wifi) to eliminate this as the culprit.

3. DNS Propagation: When domain settings are changed (such as launching a website, changing email providers, etc), it can take up to 48 hours to propagate those settings across the internet so that everyone can find them.  The solution for this is to simply wait a day or two for full propagation to complete.
